Nu Pi Omega Chapter Scholarship
Each year, we award a scholarship to a high school senior who will be attending
a college or university in the following fall semester. Those who demonstrate the interest and promise of providing leadership
and serving as positive role models to the youth in the African-American communities are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates
are judged on academic achievement, evidence of leadership and community service, personal essay and interview.
The 2009 scholarship application is due April 1, 2009.

Illinois Central College Scholarship
If you will be attending ICC this fall, make sure you apply for the Alpha
Kappa Alpha Scholarship.
One $500 scholarship is awarded annually to a student who has financial
need. Preference is given to African-Americans, particularly a female who has financial need or is a first generation college
student. Applicants need a minimum of 2.0 GPA, be full- or part-time, and must complete an essay addressing why he/she is
eligible for the award. To apply, complete an online application at www.icc.edu/scholarships by April 1, 2009.
