National Program
Under the leadership of National President Barbara A. McKinzie, the 2006-2010
International program theme for Alpha Kappa Alpha "The Heart of ESP: An Extraordinary Service Program." The ESP vision
embraces a five-pronged program designed to excite, galvanize and ignite the passions of more than 180,000 members worldwide.
The goal is to transfer this enthusiasm into a collective resolve to parlay members' talents, energy and creativity to realize
Alpha Kappa Alpha's enormous potential for empowerment, security and progress. The program is centered around the following
five platforms:
- Platform I - The Non-Traditional Entreprenuer
- Platform II- The Economic Keys to Success
- Platform III - The Economic Growth fo the Black Family
- Platform IV - Economic Educational Advancement Through Technology
- Platform V - Health Resource Management and Economics

Recent Chapter Programs
Winter
Wear Project As part of Platform III,
each November, Nu Pi Omega Chapter donates outerwear to Irving Primary School just in time for the cold winter months. Coats,
hats, scarves and gloves are given to students in grades Pre-K to 5 who might otherwise go without full protection from the
cold weather.
Black
Doll Project As part of the Platform III, Nu Pi Omega donates black dolls at Christmas time to community
organizations that serve the underprivileged.
